Omak Mountain Lookout in DN08 is east of Omak Wa on Hwy 155 approx 24 miles.At 13 miles out turn up Omak lo road and follow it to the top. There is a manned forestry lookout as well as communications equipment and towers at the top.It has been used by a number of ham radio operators over the years as an operating site for vhf contests due to its good road access and reasonable height for good propagation angles.I have worked a number of hams at Omak mountain as VE7NUT/7 from Apex mtn (DN09) and from Promontory(CO90) So go Rover or portable next contest the mountains are waiting....Best of 73s.
