MOUNT RODERICK DHU DN09 Nr GRAND FORKS, BC

Mount Roderick Dhu 1838 m (6030ft)is situated 22 km north west of Grand Forks,BC in dN09qe at -118.61355 degrees west and 49.19291 degrees north.It has an active forestry lookout as well as numerous communication repeaters including ham radio repeaters at the top.There is an old log building at the foot of the forestry look out tower that we used during the late 90s for vhf contesting.There is lots of room on the top of the mountain for multiple operating tents and for vehicles.The road is passable with a good truck,cars not recommended but some drive there car up anyways.Access is from Hwy 3 , 5 km east of Greenwood or 28 km west of Grand Forks. Turn north up Boundary Creek Road then turn right onto Jewel lake rd.Then once your close to the lake head turn left up the Roderick dhu forestry road.It is a little steep in places but it will take you to the top of Roderick Dhu.Best dx and 73s
