OLD GLORY MOUNTAIN LOOKOUT IN DN19 near Rossland,BC
Old Glory Mountain(7795 ft) is the Highest peak in the Rossland mountain range. At 2378 m it towers over all others in the area. There is a Forestry Lookout that was active in the 1930s that still stands on the edge of the north side cliff right at the top of the mountain. You can see it from the Nancy Green lake pull out on Hwy 3 with a pair of good binoculars. There is a mountain bike/ hiking trail to the top.As far as I know this mountain top has never been activated as a radio site due to its remote location.Portable operation would be possible for some determined operator. Is that you?Oh and by the way....it can snow in July up there.Best dx and 73s
